The 20th meeting of the annual workshop included special sessions on the dynamics of biological networks, and nonlinear systems for multimodal human-machine interactions. The 36 papers also cover models, signal processing, and applications. Contributors from computer and information science and electronics, but also from applications in areas such as economics and statistics present original results. Among the topics are a combinatoric biclustering algorithm, data fusion with entropic priors, a neural network hybrid recommender system, cell differentiation in a noisy random Boolean network, and the cross-modal and cross-cultural processing of affective information.
