Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Reverend Dr. Paul Smith is the senior minister of First Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn Heights, NY, where he leads a diverse and vibrant congregation. Dr. Smith studied for many years with mystical theologian Howard Thurman, his mentor and close friend. Dr. Smith has held positions at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, the Interdenominational Theological Seminary, the New York Theological Seminary, and Union Theological Seminary. He is a Regent at the Long Island College Hospital, a trustee of Long Island University, a member of the Hospital Trustees of New York State, and a founding member of the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health.
