Es entstand wahrend des Aufenthalts von Herrn Sun Ji Rong von der Chengdu University of Science and Technology, Volksrepublik China, als Gastwissenschaftler im Fachgebiet 'Elektrische Anlagen und Netze' der Universitat Duisburg. Die moderne Netzleittechnik behandelt mittels ProzeBrechnern bereits viele Betriebsaufgaben, die friiher von Menschen mit Verstand und Kenntnis des Netzes gelost wurden. Das hat zur F olge, daB moderne Netzleittechnik weder verstanden noch entworfen werden kann, ohne die Betriebsaufgaben im Detail zu kennen. Es wird daher in diesem Buch groBes Gewicht darauf gelegt, nicht nur die Funktionen der Netzleittechnik zu beschreiben, sondern auch die Betriebsaufgaben selbst, die Netzstrukturen und Organisationsformen, aus denen sich die Betriebsaufga ben ableiten, die Methoden, dem Rechner die Kenntnisse iiber das Netz zu vermitteln. Was Preis und LeistungsHihigkeit der Hardwarekomponenten als auch die Software losungen angeht, ist die Netzleittechnik derzeit in rascher Entwicklung begriffen.
