Die moderne Netzleittechnik behandelt mittels ProzeBrechnern bereits viele Betriebsaufgaben, die friiher von Menschen mit Verstand und Kenntnis des Netzes gelost wurden. Das hat zur F olge, daB moderne Netzleittechnik weder verstanden noch entworfen werden kann, ohne die Betriebsaufgaben im Detail zu kennen. Es wird daher in diesem Buch groBes Gewicht darauf gelegt, nicht nur die Funktionen der Netzleittechnik zu beschreiben, sondern auch die Betriebsaufgaben selbst, die Netzstrukturen und Organisationsformen, aus denen sich die Betriebsaufga ben ableiten, die Methoden, dem Rechner die Kenntnisse iiber das Netz zu vermitteln. Was Preis und LeistungsHihigkeit der Hardwarekomponenten als auch die Software losungen angeht, ist die Netzleittechnik derzeit in rascher Entwicklung begriffen. Das Buch zeigt diese Entwicklungslinien auf. Neben der Beschreibung der aktuellen Technik wird versucht, die Grundprinzipien herauszuarbeiten, die unabhangig von der verwendeten Technik Giiltigkeit haben. Beim Einsatz der Netzleittechnik in China ergeben sich spezielle Probleme durch die GroBe des Landes und die Benutzung nichtalphabetischer Schriftzeichen.
