Michal Kern (1938-1994) war ein slowakischer Künstler und Fotograf. Er studierte 1956-1962 an der Akademie für Bildende Künste und Design in Bratislava beim Prof. Ján Mudroch. Kern war ein Einzelkämpfer der slowakischen inoffiziellen Kunstszene. Er integrierte seine von Konzeptkunst und Aktionskunst beeinflussten Werke in die Natur. Sprache: de, sk Size: 4°.

Der Katalog mit dem Titel "realizované projekty" [Realisierte Projekte] dokumentiert eine Reihe von Land-Art-Aktionen und minimalistischen Interventionen im Freien, die von Jirí Valoch in der Umgebung von Brünn (vorwiegend in der Pálava und im Mährischen Karst) initiiert und von Mitgliedern der MPVU (mladi pratelé vytvarneho umeni / Junge Freunde der Bildenden Kunst) mitgestaltet wurden. Die Gruppe wurde vom Haus der Künste in Brünn organisiert und unternahm Anfang der 1960er-Jahre einen der ersten Versuche in Mitteleuropa, zeitgenössische Kunst durch eine gezielte Kunstveranstaltung zu popularisieren. Der Katalog enthält einen Text, in dem Valoch die Aktionen im Kontext der Aktivitäten der slowenischen Künstlergruppe OHO verortet und sie mit der Dokumentation und Wahrnehmung von Aktionskunst in Verbindung bringt. Der Katalog befand sich in der Entstehungsphase, als die Normalisierung einsetzte, und wurde vom Haus der Künste in Brünn gefördert. Seine Entstehung wurde unter anderem dadurch ermöglicht, dass die Organisatoren die Aktivitäten als pädagogische Praxis deklarierten, weshalb die Veröffentlichung keiner Genehmigung durch die dortige Kulturkommission bedurfte [Vgl. Some indenting to the wraps from the card inserts in front and back. Some minor rubbing to covers and some corner wear, as well as a crease to the bottom of one page towards the back but otherwise a lovely copy, now in mylar.

Two stapled textblocks, mimeographed rectos only, glued together at the gutter between two leaves (one being a great color flyer for the Music Grotto, "Cleveland's first psychedelic record shop"), with a newsprint spine and cover glued on at both shoulders. Illustrated with the aforementioned flyer, two leaves of appropriated Cleveland art cinema flyers, and an original two-color silkscreen: "you can have your fucking city bak." Newsprint tanned and offset onto the first page, newsprint spine with loss and tiny tears, and the lower wrap soiled; the staples have pulled through at the leaf joining the two texblocks, i.e. the issue is now essentially two sound, stapled textblocks conjoined by a nearly perished newsprint spine. A very good copy of a magazine featuring some truly excellent concrete poems by T. L. Kryss, rjs (Robert J. Sigmund), and levy ("The Saundaryalahari; or, Flood of Beauty"), as well as poems by rolla rieder, jiri valoch, and the artist timm ulrichs, and two essays on Yoga by Walter Evans-Wentz.
