In seiner Studie vergleicht er die Kompetenzentwicklungen Studierender, die Modellierungsaufgaben für den Einsatz mit Schülerinnen und Schülern eigenständig erstellen, und Studierender, die in einem vergleichbaren Lehr-Lern-Labor die Modellierungsaufgaben nicht selbst konzipieren.
