Printed in 1823, this shows 141 members of the House of Lords 'during the important investigation in 1820' into the trial of Queen Caroline who was suspected of adultery. There is also a numbered plan of the group portrait naming everyone present. The engraving was done by John George Murray from a painting by Stephanoff.

The uncoloured aquatints respectively show a tribute to the late King George III, a view of the interior of the House of Lords during the investigation, the facsimile signatures of the Royal Family and the Peers who voted against the Queen, and a key-plate with directions for placing the plates and explanations to the coronation plate and the plates of the House of Lords. Includes a view of the Villa d'Este on the Lake of Como, where Queen Caroline was to spend the rest of her life. The beautifully coloured aquatints show impressive views of the Address of the Watermen at the Brandenburgh House, the Queen leaving the House of Lords, and the Splendid Coronation of George the Fourth. Finely bound example of the poems of Lord Byron, each accompanied by a period engraving. Quarto, bound in three quarters morocco over decorative boards, gilt titles and tooling to the spine, raised gilt bands, inner dentelles, all edges gilt, frontispiece engraved portrait of Lord Byron. Illustrated with 36 full page engraved plates. In very good condition with the plates bright and crisp. George Gordon Byron, commonly known as Lord Byron, was an English poet and politician, and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. Among his best-known works are the lengthy narrative poems, Don Juan and Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, and the short lyric poem, "She Walks in Beauty". Byron is regarded as one of the greatest British poets. He traveled extensively across Europe, especially in Italy, where he lived for seven years in Venice, Ravenna and Pisa, where he had a chance to frequent his friend the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Later in his brief life, Byron joined the Greek War of Independence fighting the Ottoman Empire, for which Greeks revere him as a national hero.
