Député de La Montagne, lors du procès de Louis XVI, il vota… contre l'appel au peuple, pour la mort, et contre le sursis. il est à signaler que le département de Rhône et Loire n'exista que de 1790 à 1793. En effet, suite au soulèvement de Lyon contre la Convention, en novembre 1793, il fut scindé entre les départements du Rhône et celui de la Loire. Langue: Français.
