A detailed commentary on the success of The Restaurant Boulestin, known as the most expensive in London, which opened in 1927 by Xavier Marcel Boulestin, a French chef, restaurateur, and the author of cookery books that popularised French cuisine in the English-speaking world. His cuisine was wide-ranging, embracing not only the French classics but also dishes familiar to British cooks. Written alongside an exhibition of artists associated with the restaurant between May 20th and July 3rd. Particularly the work of Emile Laboureur, known as Jean Emile, a French painter, designer, engraver, watercolorist, lithographer, and illustrator. Written by Michael Parkin and Denise Hooker.
