Neuware -Results of quantum chemical computations of molecules of organic inhibitors (OIn) of corrosion and hydrogen absorption by metals of 9 different series, for some of groups - also adsorbed on clusters modeling Al and Cd surface in various oxidation states (the model substrates contained up to 25 atoms of metal and O, H - in case of hydroxides) were compared to experimental data on efficiencies of protective action (EPA) against corrosion of metals. Energies of boundary orbitals (HOMO, LUMO) and dipole moments of isolated molecules of OIn as well as changes of atomic charges on OIn atoms when OIn molecule adsorbed have been computed using semi-empiric MNDO quantum chemistry method. Found correlations between EPA and changes of electric charge on heteroatoms (as N, O.), also change in value of dipole moment and in total molecular charge due to adsorption of OIn on the metal surface were most significant. Data on efficiencies against hydrogen absorption by steel were compared to data obtained from quantum chemistry for individual molecules. Neuware -While there has been a profusion of corporate social responsibility (CSR) awards in the extractive industry, there has not been empirical analysis of the validity of those awards. The purpose of this work was to fill the gap by investigating the legitimacy of the CSR awards given to the oil multinationals. Using ExxonMobil and its recognitions as the main case study, the paper examined the CSR awards the company received in health and safety and environmental performance between 2003 and 2010. The findings revealed surprising results, such as more than 70% of 226 CSR awards that ExxonMobil received between 2003 and 2010, came from 5 award-giving entities. After a careful analysis of data, the principal conclusion of the study was that the awards ExxonMobil received in health and safety and environment were not representative of its true CSR record. Partially due to the weak methodology and criteria that the award-giving entities used; this resulted in adumbration of essential elements of achievement recognition: legitimacy and merit. They are non-sporing, and are usually motile by means of one or more subpolar flagella. Most Legionella species are short rods but some strains have filamentous forms. They do not grow on ordinary media but will grow on media supplemented with L-cysteine and ferric salts. Legionella was isolated from four different samples. The samples from which isolation occurred were called Legionella-positive samples. The most common habitats from which Legionella was isolated were cooling towers and water tanks. 20% of the water tanks/tap water and 60% of the cooling towers were Legionella-positive samples. It was observed that natural feeds were available in this study area and there was existed a small potential marketing channel with 3-4 middlemen.
