A few small scuffs and stains to covers, most notably a small pen scribble on th…e front and what appear to be coffee mug rings on the back. None warp the covers or touch the pasted-down illustrations. No date on title page. Copyright page dated only 1942. 71 pages. Illustrations, both B&W and in full color, featured throughout text. Colorfully illustrated endpapers. Neat Christmas inscription, dated 1942, on half title page. Vague floor plan hand-drawn in pencil on the final blank page. Same page, the backside of which is the back free endpaper, is almost entirely detached from its binding. It seems a former owner attempted to reattach it with tape, which has now toned and no longer connects. All other pages firmly attached. A few spots of discoloration or staining at the outer edges of other pages, but none severe or extending to the text block. Binding overall neat, excepting the single detached page.
