Spine faded about half a shade lighter than covers, all lettering still clear and unmarred. A few small scuffs and stains to covers, most notably a small pen scribble on the front and what appear to be coffee mug rings on the back. None warp the covers or touch the pasted-down illustrations. No date on title page. Copyright page dated only 1942. 71 pages. Illustrations, both B&W and in full color, featured throughout text. Colorfully illustrated endpapers. Neat Christmas inscription, dated 1942, on half title page. Vague floor plan hand-drawn in pencil on the final blank page. Same page, the backside of which is the back free endpaper, is almost entirely detached from its binding. It seems a former owner attempted to reattach it with tape, which has now toned and no longer connects. All other pages firmly attached. A few spots of discoloration or staining at the outer edges of other pages, but none severe or extending to the text block. Binding overall neat, excepting the single detached page. There is no writing, marking, or highlighting inside, no torn pages, and no foxing. There is no bumping to the cover. The cover is perfectly preserved and overall this copy is remarkably well preserved and highly attractive.
