The author, a prominent Yale graduate and Presbyterian missionary, had previously spent some 11 years in China as…an educator and university administrator. The trip stopped at Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nanking, Hankow, Wuchang and Changsha, all locations that had benefitted in one form or another from the Yale program.
