However, they once provided general provisions (under the brand name "Amcehat") through a mail order service, and also operated several retail stories in the Mid-Atlantic area. As described in a 1908 issue of Good Housekeeping, this cookbook "contains many recipes for home and hostess cookery not to be found in the average volume of the kind".
