With 13 illustrations including a folding map, collated and complete. Before detailing the mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibia, and fishes that can be found in northernmost Scotland, the authors describe its geographical position and its important physical features. Ink inscription to the front pastedown reads 'To their Grandson, Hugh Blair, on his coming of age. 13 July 2022. From Robert and Mary Blair, with best wishes.' In the publisher's original green cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little rubbed to the front joint, with some light wear to the extremities.
