Later re-released under the title, "For Better, For Worse." Gene Hackman stars as a rural rancher who sends away for a mail-order bride, looking for an extra ranch hand. His headstr…ong bride, played by Liv Ullman, is a tough bargain, and the two eventually fall in love through shared hardship and growing respect. An early effort of screenwriter Marc Norman, twenty-five years before he would receive an Oscar for his work on "Shakespeare in Love." Set in a remote region of the American West, shot on location in Big Sur, California. Orange titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, dated February 26, 1973. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Title page present, dated 2/26/73, noted as FINAL, with credits for screenwriter Marc Norman. 113 leaves, with last page of text numbered 111.
