Harrison, dubbed the "King of Magazine Cover Artists" (New York Times), created illustrations for PUCK MAGAZINE, COSMOPOLITAN, THE SATURDAY EVENING POST, and others. He was widely considered to be the successor of Charles Dana Gibson, and his illustrations of slim, rosy-cheeked women in fancy hats influenced US beauty standards into the silent film era and beyond.
