Treatment script for the 1955 film. Bound in after the outline are several sets of character descriptions and continuity notes. Santa Fe's first female doctor (Greer Garson) wants to introduce modern medical technology to the town, but encounters resistance both from the local hospital, which is run by a Catholic priest (Walter Hampden), and from the town's only other doctor (Dana Andrews). Set in Boston, Massachusetts and Santa Fe, New Mexico, shot on location in Tucson, the Sonoran Desert, and the Sierrita Mountains, Arizona. Green titled wrappers, with credits for director Mervyn LeRoy. Title page present, dated 4/13/54, noted as Story Outline, with credits for director Mervyn LeRoy and screenwriter Frank Butler. 193 leaves, with last page of text numbered 81. Draft script for the 1943 film. Copy belonging to crew member Ramsay Hill, with his extensive manuscript pencil annotations throughout. Based on the 1937 biography by Eve Curie. A dramatization of the shared romantic and professional lives of Nobel Prize-winning scientists Pierre and Marie Curie, cut tragically short by Pierre's untimely death in an automobile accident. The third of eight movies to pair Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon. Set in 1890s Paris. Housed in a green cloth binder. Goldenrod titled wrappers, noted as RESEARCH in manuscript pencil annotation on the front wrapper, dated 12-21-42, with credits for screenwriters Paul Osborn and Paul H. Rameau. Title page integral with the front wrapper, as issued. 151 leaves, with last page of text numbered 147. Draft script for the 1966 film. Specially bound copy belonging to actress Juanita Moore, bound in full red leather, with twelve reference photographs from the film tipped in, and containing two inscriptions from actress Debbie Reynolds. The first inscription by Reynolds, on the verso of the first leaf in manuscript ink, is "Juanita, I Love you! You are the greatest! My deepest Thanks, Love Debbie," the second, on a the recto of a photograph of Reynolds and Moore from the film, in manuscript marker and making reference to Reynold's character, is "What feeling! What a face! What an actress! What a great Lady! Your Fan Sister Ann." A fanciful biography on the life of Belgian nun Jeanine Deckers, who recorded the number one hit pop song "Dominique" in 1963. Nominated for an Academy Award. Set in and shot on location in Gent, Belgium. Red full leather binding with gilt titles and with actor Juanita Moore's name in gilt at the bottom right corner of the front board. Title page integral with first page, dated 9-2-65. 150 leaves, with last page of text numbered "130-135." Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with pink, blue, green, and gray revision pages throughout, dated variously between 11-4-65 and 11-24-65. Printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso, along with file stamps. Based on Struther's 1940 novel, about the experiences of an unassuming British housewife during World War II. The film was the highest grossing release of 1942, and received six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress for Greer Garson. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, lightly edgeworn, with ink residue on the recto. National Film Registry.
