Side-Stapled Wraps. Zustand: Good. Vintage men's entertainment from over a half-century ago - with stories, articles, pinups, and racy humor. CONTENTS: See accompanying scan image of the Table of Contents for topics in this issue. MODELS: Patricia White and Beverly Neale. 84 pages, including contemporaneous advertisements, and personals. CONDITION: a solid copy with noticeably-worn covers, the spine and edges showing substantial chipping. Some scraping and chipping also invades the cover art, and there is a strong crease in the upper-right front cover corner. Aside from a bit of age-tanning, the pages are complete and uncompromised. This remains a quite respectable copy - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very good. Carl Rungius and George A. King (illustrator). xxiii, [8], 335, [1] pages. Illustrations (some in color). Glossary, Bibliography. Index. Decorative binding. Decorative endpages. Corner slightly bumped. The authors have presupposed no knowledge on the part of the reader; but at the same time have carried facts forward to a point of technical accuracy. Mammals are defined and then divided into orders, families, and species. The arrangement of the different orders and the sequences in which each animal is taken up, follows the degrees of evolution.

In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: New. Professor George Patrick Leonard Walker was one of the fathers of modern quantitative volcanology and arguably the foremost volcanologist of the twentieth century. In his long career, George studied a wide spectrum of volcanological problems and in doing so influenced almost every branch of the field. This volume, which honours his memory and his contributions to the field of volcanology, contains a collection of papers inspired by, and building upon, many of the ideas previously developed by George. Many of the contributors either directly studied under and worked with George, or were profoundly influenced by his ideas. The topics broadly fall under the three themes of lava flows and effusion, explosive volcanism, and volcanoes and their infrastructure.
