Oldens Buch ist dennoch nicht überholt. Von hohem Interesse bleibt die Auseinandersetzung eines der besten deutschen Linksliberalen mit seinem Antipoden, eine Auseinandersetzung, die Tür Teile der deutschen Emigration repräsentativ gewesen sein dürfte.
