A working notebook (written from both the front and upside down from the back) dated December 1983, with stamp of Roderick Ham and Partners Architects, 2 St Mary Abbots Place, London…W8 on verso of front free endpaper, containing notes, a chart and useful addresses relating to various projects chiefly the Harrow Arts Centre (he produced an important unrealised design for this project) but also mentions the Corn Exchange Wallingford, Penrith Sports Hall and a new swimming pool at Aylesbury (none were realised). Roderick Ham (1925-2017) was a much admired theatre architect who played an important role in the development of British theatre design in the postwar years. He designed the innovative Leatherhead Thorndike Theatre, the Derby Playhouse and the Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich. A couple of small marks on boards, otherwise very good. Light wear otherwise very good.

A working notebook (written mainly from the front with a couple of pages written upside down at the back) first entry dated 7 Dec.… 1981, last dated 13th Oct. 1988, containing notes, drawings, diagrams and useful addresses relating to various projects such as a proposal for a theatre in Hong Kong, and with mentions of Leeds Playhouse, Swansea Grand Theatre, a Theme Park in Jeddah, the Royal Court Theatre, the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, High Wycombe Competition submission, March 1987, Haymarket Theatre Leicester, Oct. 1988, notes on opera houses, and various other domestic projects. There is also a prose piece which decribes his frustrating journey to Hong Kong. Roderick Ham (1925 Ð 2017) was a much admired theatre architect who played an important role in the development of British theatre design in the postwar years. He designed the innovative Leatherhead Thorndike Theatre, the Derby Playhouse and the Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich. Very good indeed. Very good indeed.
