Bound in dark green cloth with embossed eagle and date on the front cover. 496 pages. Illustrated throughout with thousands of photos and several black and white plates. This copy has the name of Lieut Col Robert C. Richardson embossed on the front cover. In addition, there is a special dedication page bound in at the front, "This copy of the Howitzer especially bound for and present to Lieutenant Colonel Robert C. Richardson, Commandant of Cadets by the Howitzer Staff and the Class of 1930." Richardson went on to become a 4 star general (posthumous). He was the commander of the US Army, Pacific during the height of WWII and was the last territorial governor of Hawaii. The book is in very good condition.
