Bound in full straight-grain morocco.Complete in one volume. The most important work of English evangelical divine, the Rev. Joseph Milner. First published between 1794 and 1809, this work was completed and continued by various contributors after the authors death. This includes a full edit by Milner's brother, Isaac Milner, and a new continuation by John Scott in 1826. In this work, Milner provides a comprehensive history of the Church from the days of the apostles until the famous disputation between Luther and Miltitz in 1520. This particular edition has been edited, with a continuation to the present time by the Rev. Thomas Haweis, a Church of England cleric known as one of the leading figures of the 18th century evangelical revival. Bound in full straight-grain morocco. Endpapers renewed. Externally, very good, with some rubbing to the extremities and joints, and a few marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a touch age toned, with the odd light mark. Ink inscription of R. J.
