This includes a full edit by Milner's brother, Isaac Milner, and a new continuation by John Scott in 1826. In this work, Milner provides a comprehensive history of the Church from the days of the apostles until the famous disputation between Luther and Miltitz in 1520. This particular edition has been edited, with a continuation to the present time by the Rev. Thomas Haweis, a Church of England cleric known as one of the leading figures of the 18th century evangelical revival. Bound in full straight-grain morocco. Endpapers renewed. Externally, very good, with some rubbing to the extremities and joints, and a few marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a touch age toned, with the odd light mark. Ink inscription of R. J.
