Undated but probably from the late 1950s or early 1960s (some notes refer to publications from 1955). 32pp. and 11 black and white illustrations. Made around 1520, the Fetternear Banner is considered to be the only specimen of an ecclesiastical banner surviving from pre-Ref…ormation times in Great Britain. This booklet provides a description of the Banner, together with an account of its historical significance. The book is staple-bound in the original card covers with black titling on the front cover. It is in very good condition with some light shelf wear and a (document repair tape) tape repair to the top of the spine. Pen mark to the margin of page 6, otherwise the contents are clean and bright with no inscription.
