Two discharged Marine pilots sign on as airborne policemen for a dictator of a small South Sea island, eventually finding themselves at odds over their shared affection for a beautiful woman. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. 9.25 x 7.75 inches. Vintage publicity photograph of Mamo Clark from the 1938 film. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Two discharged Marine pilots, Larry J. Blake and Dick Purcell, sign on as airborne policemen for a dictator of banana-republic south sea island and begin fighting over the same girl, Marcia Brandford, before realizing they may be on the wrong side. Marguerite Mamo Clark, better known as Mamo Clark or simply Mamo, was a Hawaiian born actress, and is best known for her debut as a Polynesian girl who marries Clark Gable in the 1935 Academy Award winning film "Mutiny on the Bounty," directed by Frank Lloyd. 8 x 10 inches. Laid in with the script is a 15 page master schedule, and a document relating to rent regulations. A jockey dreams of being a sportswriter while falling in love with a woman who paints portraits of horses. Blue titled wrappers. Title page present, undated, noted as copy No. 27, with credits for screenwriter Otto Englander. 91 leaves, with last page of text numbered 89.
