Cover: red grained quarter leather over red cloth, 5 bands to spine with very good gilt lettering and art nouveau designs to spines of all three volumes; some bumpin…g and rubbing to all edges and faces concomitant with age, but colour generally good; was used in a school library but only library markings are the letters 'IF' on the top front of each volume; white ring stain to rear cover of volume 1 but others clean. Internally: clean and tightly bound apart from volume 1 where front cover and first 14 pp. are detached but all present, other two volumes sound. Lovely colour and black and white illustrations throughout (some photos, others drawings and paintings by noted illustrators including Warwick Reynolds RSW, Philip Rickman etc.).
