Las colecciones El Cuento Nuevo (1918-1919 y 1934-1935). En este volumen se estudian dos colecciones madrileñas tituladas El Cuento Nuevo. Ambas se inscriben en el mercado de las colecciones de novela corta, pero no son series complementarias, sino independientes, impresas en 1918-1919 y 1934-1935. En la primera colaboran algunos de los más populares novelistas de la literatura hispánica entre el modernismo y las vanguardias, como Rafael Cansinos Assens, Enrique Gómez Carrillo, Diego San José, Alfonso Vidal y Planas, Joaquín Belda o Antonio de Hoyos y Vinent. En la segunda, los autores son miembros de la generación que vivió la República y, tras la guerra, tomaron caminos opuestos.
