Gamba (2068): "Bella e corretta edizione, che contiene i due drammi L'Euridice e La Dafne e la tragedia l'Arianna. Doveva essere corredata di una prefazione, che l'editore Poggiali scrive nella sua Serie, d'avere dovuto omettere perche' gli furono mancati i soccorsi di notizie riguardanti lo stato della musica in Italia a tempi del Rinuccini". Il presente esemplare non è preceduto dalle preliminari contenenti la dedica per le nozze Martellini - Poggiali per l'occasione delle quali l'opera è stata stampata.…

Ex-libris figurato. Ottima conservazione. Prima edizione, pubblicata a distanza di quasi due secoli dalla morte del Rinuccini, "estratta da un codice della Libreria Riccardiana" (dal colophon), in occasione degli sponsali di un discendente del poeta, Pier Francesco Rinuccini, Ciambellano della Granduchessa di Toscana, e della nobildonna Teresa Antinori. Ci fu chi, come l'abate Giambattista Zannoni, contestò l'attribuzione al Rinuccini dell'opera e la ascrisse invece a Paolo Mini.…

Zustand: molto buono. in-4, pp. 62, (2 bianche), leg. coeva m. pergamena, titolo in oro su tassello al dorso. Terza edizione (la prima apparve nel 1600, la seconda nel 1608), fatta per nozze, assai stimata, curata dall'abate Luigi Fiacchi, che vi aggiunse un'ampia Lettera (sotto lo pseudonimo di L. Clasio), ''ricca di belle notizie, e non ommise le Varianti del dramma tolte o dalle anteriori stampe, o da un codice Magliabechiano'' (Gamba). Com'è noto, la Dafne, nell'originale del 1600, è il primo libretto d'opera nella storia del melodramma, pietra miliare dell'opera lirica nei secoli. Venne rappresentata a Palazzo Pitti nel febbraio 1600, alla presenza dei Granduchi. Ottavio Rinuccini (Firenze 1562-1621) fu poeta, seguace del Tasso e del Chiabrera.
