A drama in three acts and fourteen scenes, written at the increasing threat to Czechoslovakia from Germany, this drama portrays human response to a threat from an unnamed country which resembles Germany but with an additional factor --- an incurable form of leprosy which kills off people selectively who are over 45 years old. It was later made into a film by Hugo Haas.
