Large 8vo. no date, c.1920s picture on front of boy and girl feeding a horse, tight copy, all plates present, lots of charming illustrations, occasional turned corner. light-moderate foxing. light/moderate edgewear to boards, slight roll to spine, rubbing to top & base of spine. Book.

Pictorial boards show children stroking horse to front cover, both riding horse to spine, yellow titles. 8 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. First story is Joan Visits a Farm. 128 pages. 8.5 x 7". A chunky volume of stories and rhymes. Covers darkened and grubby. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front edge of spine cracked. Large ink inscription to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Some light foxing and an odd mark to contents. One plate is MISSING and one partially detached. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Former prize plate to upper paste down, light rubbing to edges and in Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. CHILDREN'S & JUVENILE.

Baker, M Board, M.L.P and coloured frontispiece plate. Cloth and paper covered boards worn at edges. Binding sound. One or two grubby finger marks and very occasional foxing spot, otherwise clean. Binding stitching loosening but intact. Rare.
