Pictorial boards show children stroking horse to front cover, both riding horse to spine, yellow titles. 8 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. First story is Joan Visits a Farm. 128 pages. 8.5 x 7". A chunky volume of stories and rhymes. Covers darkened and grubby. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front edge of spine cracked. Large ink inscription to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Some light foxing and an odd mark to contents. One plate is MISSING and one partially detached. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

The plates are by Harold Earnshaw, Charles Robinson and Dorothy Rees. One of the full-page black & white illustrations has been neatly coloured in by previous owner. Unpaginated. Contains numerous short stories, b/w illustrations throughout, 4 colour plates. Spine rebacked with blue cloth (not very professionally as it is coming away from the front board). Covers are edge worn and there is a damp stain to the edge of the rear cover. Inscription in ink to half-title. Front joint has been neatly repaired. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

A neat tight clean copy 1 volume. Hardcover.

All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. Undated and without edition remarks, with 16 coloured plates. Wear and chipping to the pictorial boards. Light foxing but otherwise with, clean, clear contents. Binding is cracked but all holds together for reasonable handling. A fair reading copy.
