Es gibt immer auch den Raum hinter einer Person. Der Hintergrund selbst kann die Wahrnehmung verändern, kann Teil der Bildbetrachtung sein. Ob ein Mann an einen Zaun oder eine Wand gelehnt fotografiert wird, verändert seinen Blick. Die Kamera hält auch diesen Blick fest. Die schwarz-weiß Bilder dieses Heftes entstanden in Porto Tolle - am östlichsten Ende des Po-Deltas. Aufgenommen wurden sie im Großformat auf Film während einiger Fahrten im Rahmen einer Auftragsarbeit. Die Großbildkamera bedingt den Einsatz eines Statives. Man muss anhalten, einen Stand- und Sichtpunkt bestimmen, um Unschärfen zu vermeiden. Diese Präzision der Technik spiegelt sich in den ruhigen und sorgfältig komponierten Bildern wider.Francesco Neri (\*1982) ist Professor für Fotografie am Institut für Graphic Design in Faenza und Mitglied der AA School of Architecture, London.
