Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Red cloth-covered boards with printed illustration on upper panel, printed decorations on spine. 12mo. Boards rounded at corners and spine ends, slightly sunned over spine with a few minor marks on rear panel. Text block edges a little toned. A hint of spotting on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

First edition, 172pp, engraved frontispiece illustration, two title pages, one with illustration and titled The Blind Girl A Swedish Story, ink Sunday School presentation inscription dated June 1889 on floral decorated endpapers, free endpapers tanned, original light blue cloth, gilt and black lettering with black and red decorated flowers to spine and upper board, blind stamped decoration to lower board. Size: 7.25 x 5 Inches. Children's.
