Gottlieb war in der Zwischenkriegszeit als Mitautorin einiger erfolgreicher Lustspiele, als Feuilletonistin beim "Neuen Wiener Tagblatt" und bei der "Neuen Freien Presse" sowie als Übersetzerin tätig. Nach dem März 1938 fand sie Anschluss an die monarchistisch orientierten Widerstandskreise um Otto Habsburg, und ihr Wiener Salon in der Wiener Floragasse wurde zum Treffpunkt von Oppositionellen. 1939 zusammen mit anderen Persönlichkeiten der Gruppe von der Gestapo verhaftet, wurde sie 1944 als Jüdin nach Auschwitz deportiert und dort ermordet. - Sehr selten.
