Rebound at some point in red cloth, lettered gilt on spine Emily Gerard (1849 Ð1905) was a nineteenth-century author best known for the influence her collections of Transylvanian folklore had on Bram Stoker's Dracula. Printed dedication is a verse to Mark Twain. Gerard spent much of her life in Austria, where she met and befriended Mark Twain. Some marks to covers, slight nick at spine hinge and some rubbing else soud near vg with label oon the fep stating the book was presented to The Cruisers of the Fishery Board of Scotland.
