Buck (1849-1917) were British sportsmen, conservationists and authors known for their detailed studies of wildlife and hunting in Africa and Europe, with Chapman notable for having contributed to saving the Spanish Ibex from extinction. This work documents their travels and field observations across remote regions of Spain, featuring vivid descriptions of the country"s landscapes, wildlife and rural life, particularly in Andalusia and the Sierra Morena. In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing, resulting in a few very minor closed tears to the spine head and tail and minimal loss of cloth to spine tips. Furnished with a few marks to each board. Internally, binding a little delicate to front free endpapers and at intervals throughout the first half of the text, namely to pages 96-97, 160-161 and particularly to the frontispiece facing page 216.
