It grew to have factories around the world, including New Zealand. This little book is a promotional publication issued during the Second World War. It is a humorous alphabetical 'dictionary' and 'Who's Who' of wartime characters, and the following are examples of the contents: Eden, Anthony - a statesman who has given the best years of his life and a hat style to the nation. Hitler Youth - schickelgruberty puberty. League of Nations - an ingenious notion which should be tried sometime. Munitions - where the money we didn't have before the wart goes to. Outpost of Empire - Mr. Richard Dimbleby in the Middle East. War Maps - a race against time for printers. The book is staple-bound in the original green card covers with black and white titling on the front cover. The book is in very good condition with expected shelf wear and some light soiling to the covers. The corners are rubbed with light creasing across the bottom corners and there is wear down the spine edge. The contents are secure and clean with browning to the fist and last pages.
