Front hinge is cracked and front end page is brittle and cracked about 3" down from the top. Inscribed but not signed by the author on the frontispiece: " Presented by the author to Mrs. John A. Logan ------- N. Arlington--- of their Bazaar. By ". The "by" portion is written by the printed signature. It is unknown if this is the famous Mrs. John A. Logan, wife of General John A.
