Front board and spine is dark blue but rear board is bright blue. Floral end pages in front and rear contain no handwriting or bookplates. Front hinge is cracked and front end page is brittle and cracked about 3" down from the top. Inscribed but not signed by the author on the frontispiece: " Presented by the author to Mrs. John A. Logan ------- N. Arlington--- of their Bazaar. By ". The "by" portion is written by the printed signature. It is unknown if this is the famous Mrs. John A. Logan, wife of General John A.
