Condition Report: Very Good. The dark green cloth binding is exceptionally sharp and secure, with corners remaining unbumped and the gilt lettering to the spine bright and unoxidised. Internally, the text block is clean, tightly bound, and free from foxing or significant shelf-wear, retaining a crisp feel throughout. The primary flaw lies in the dust-jacket, which, while visually intact and retaining vibrant front-panel colours, bears several old, noticeable strips of clear sellotape applied as crude reinforcements to the upper and lower edges of both the front and rear panels, alongside mild sunning to the spine. Despite these jacket imperfections, the volume itself remains a remarkably well-preserved, sturdy copy. Catalogue Note This facsimile edition, originally published in 1909 by William Blackwood & Sons, features a new introduction by Laurence V. Archer.
