Aunque canónicamente José Moreno Villa (1887-1955) pertenece a la llamada "generación del 14" la de Ortega o Eugenio D'Ors- en verdad casi todo el mundo lo relaciona con la "generación del 27", entre cuyos miembros estaban sus amigos más cercanos y en cuyo entorno vivió, pues casi desde su fundación, el malagueño Moreno Villa (bibliotecario, poeta, pintor, espléndido memorialista) vivió en la Residencia de Estudiantes, aparte de que algunos de sus más conocidos libros poéticos (como "Jacinta la pelirroja") y el estilo de mucha de su pintura, están ante todo cerca de los impulsos del 27. Moreno Villa fue un exilado de la funesta guerra civil, que vio venir por el atraso en que España vivía y por el brutal cainismo de los partidos políticos. Inicialmente (en 1937) el exilio lo llevó a Estados Unidos donde dio conferencias y trabajó con las autoridades republicanas. Cuando todo se daba por perdido marchó a México, donde viviría el resto de su vida, colaborando a crear el Colegio de México y la editorial Fondo de Cultura Económica. Pero Moreno Villa aunque nunca pensó en regresar a la España de Franco- tuvo nostalgias de su patria y ello (lentamente ramoneado) le hizo escribir ese excelente tomo de memorias que es "Vida en claro" (1944), recuerdos desde su infancia a la anteguerra, escritos en una bella prosa limpia y evocadora. Del libro quedaron fuera algunos capítulos que Moreno corrigió después (1948) y que están recogidos en el tomo bien preparado y ordenado por Juan Pérez de Ayala, que prácticamente recoge todos los escritos autobiográficos de Moreno Villa, que se abrieron con la autobiografía "Vida en claro" que, por ello, es el texto que abre el volumen y también el más conocido. pero nadie negará la bella supremacía estructurada de "Vida en claro" . *** Nota: Los envíos a España peninsular, Baleares y Canarias se realizan a través de mensajería urgente.
