James Norris Brewer (1777?) was a novelist, poet, and topographer, best remembered for his contributions to The Beauties of England and Wales and for his illustrated guidebooks. The work describes notable antiquities, architecture, natural curiosities, and historic sites of numerous locations including: Cambridge, Canterbury Cathedral, Chiswick, Gloucester Cathedral, Chatsworth, Colchester Castle, Clifton, Louth, Lincoln, Hinchingbrook, Huntingdon, Lutterworth, Maidingley, Medmenham Abbey, and many others.
