Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Reprint. 730 pp. Octavo [23.6 cm]. Burgundy red paper over board with a gilt stamped lettering on backstrip. Minimal blemishing on bottom of textbook. Dust jacket price cut. From the publisher: "Less than ten years before his death in 1933, B. H. Roberts, one of the most influential Mormon writers of the twentieth century, began work on "the most important book that I have yet contributed to the [LDS] Church." A prolific and respected Mormon apologist, Roberts wanted to consolidate his theological thought into a unified whole and to reconcile science with scripture. His final manuscript, "The Truth, the Way, the Life," synthesized doctrine into three sections: the truth about the world and revelation, the way of salvation, and Jesus' life in shaping Christian character. He submitted his completed work to the LDS First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, which, after a series of heated meetings, rejected it. Roberts's views on evolution, the age of the earth, the pre-earth existence, and the eternal progression of God were deemed too controversial, so his "masterwork" went unpublished. With the support of the Roberts family, editor Stan Larson has corrected this sixty-year omission from the corpus of Mormon theology.".…

The city lives under blackout curtains, sirens, ration books, and the constant threat of fire from the sky.Jimmy Caldwell was once one of the RAF's brightest pilots. He has chosen mercy in a world that demands violence, but that choice costs him every day.Forced to share a narrow room in a London boarding house, Jimmy and Tom should have nothing in common except exhaustion and mutual suspicion. One was trained to kill. One refuses to. Yet as the Blitz closes around them, hostility gives way to recognition, and recognition to a dangerous tenderness neither man can afford.Their love has no legal name, no public future, and no safe place to stand. But in a city built on secrecy and survival, Jimmy and Tom must decide what courage means when the greatest battle is not always fought with a gun.The Coward & The Killer is a WWII MM historical romance about shame, conscience, trauma, forbidden love, and the men who found one another in the ruins.…
