No Jacket. 2nd Edition. 2ND IMPRESSION, WITH A NEW EDITORIAL NOTE edition (1927), sewn-bound in brown cloth with printed paper label on spine, is in FAIR condition, having some staining to covers and spine, as well as some rubbing (especially noticed on paper label); slight splay to front cover; large square of foxing on front and back free endpapers; bookplate of former owner, an advertising agency called Hillman-Shane on first free endpaper; interestingly, there is a replacement label for the spine, tipped onto the last fixed endpaper; pages have some age-toning. Book is illustrated with b&w plates. An editorial note (this edition says "new") by A. W. Pollard follows the preface. A book on the history of bookbinding with an emohasis on gold-tooling. In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Good. A second edition of The Binding Of Books by Herbert P. Horne The brown cloth boards have some fading and slight water spotting. In addition, there are several ink stains. There is some bumping to the corners and edges with the edges of the spine showing more significant deterioration. (see photographs). The title and author are detailed on the spine but this has faded. Internally, the binding remains tight but there is some foxing to the pages, particularly towards the end of the book. The page edges are tanned and there is an ink stain. There is a label for Homerton College library and an embossed mark for Convent Of The Assumption, Sidmout.
