This 14th volume of the Gendai Kenchiku Taikan series focuses on avant-garde architecture in Switzerland and Czechoslovakia. At that time, both countries were considered centers of "New Building." Includes buildings by architects such as Karl Moser, Le Corbusier, Josef Gočár, Ludvík Kysela (e.g., commercial buildings and department stores in Prague). Bohuslav Fuchs and Brno Modernism with villas or exhibition buildings (such as the Brno Exhibition Center) are also featured. The text sheets are slightly browned in places, but otherwise clean and fresh.
