Gorman has received the acclaim of critics and collectors for his virtuoso performances in the mediums of drawing and painting. He has produced well over 100 studies, a total of some five to six thousand lithographs, which have brought him international recognition. Here for the first time is a comprehensive gathering of his works in this challenging mediumfrom his first efforts executed in Mexico City in 1966 under the tutelage of master printer, José Sanchez, to a larger body of suite and individual studies produced at the world-famous Tamarind Institute in the first half of the 1970s, and later at other lithography workshops in this country."
