Prefaced by a short unattributed paragraph, melodramatic in tone, viz. "poor and helpless in body, and shunned by his father who had hoped that his son would one day share his life as an aristocratic sportsman, he found consolation in the genius he had for bringing to life in art all that was denied him in reality". Annotated, but good condition otherwise.
