Full Title:- 'The Construction of a House: Being the Study of Building Construction Presented by Means of a Set of Forty Plates Containing Plans and Detail Drawings, with Letterpress, of a Design for a Country House Including Motor House and Chauffeur's Lodge.' This is the 1910 First edition hardback bound in brown cloth with the titles blocked in black on the spine and front board. 'A detailed architectural study of the construction of an early twentieth-century country house, illustrated with forty plates of plans and working drawings. Gourlay follows the building from foundations to roof, covering structural and architectural details together with a motor house and chauffeur's lodge.' The book measures 13" x 10", it has 22 pages of text plus 40 full page Architectural plates. There is occasional light foxing and the top corner of the front free endpaper has been clipped, otherwise, the binding and contents are in excellent condition. VG+.…
