A new monoplacophoran species was collected in the northern Atlantic Ocean, east of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge at a depth of 2,162 m. It is tentatively placed in Rokopella, and named R. brummeri. The species resembles R. oligotropha (Rokop, 1972), but has a much finer and predominantly striated sculpture. The description is based on shell morphology only. 8 pp., 10 figs, gr. 8.…

Indisputable Chondrinidae, Granariinae species, characterized by shell shape and apertural dentition, are known from Eocene deposits to the Recent. The generic classification of the extant species is based on conchological, anatomical and molecular data that are available now for most of the known species, including 'Granaria' persica as a representative of the once problematic group of so-called eastern Granaria species. According to molecular and anatomical characters, these eastern species have to be classified with Granopupa granum in Granopupa. Graniberia gen. n. is introduced for G. braunii on the basis of molecular and conchological data. For the pre-Pleistocene species, two generic names are equally well available now, viz. Granopupa and Granaria. Shell characters only do not enable a decision here. For the sake of nomenclatorial stability we propose to use Granaria for these species. Because both molecular and anatomical data most likely will never be known for the fossils, it will remain unclear whether the combined extant and extinct Granaria species form a monophyletic group. New taxon: Graniberia n. gen. 11 pp., 4 figs, gr. 8.…

The generic name Inchoatia is validated by the designation of a type species and three mistakes are corrected. 2 pp., gr. 8.

The diagnosable, geographically localized forms of Carinigera buresi that are known from NE Greece, are dealt with systematically as subspecies. Two subspecies are described as new to science, viz. C. b. nordsiecki and C. b. polimilitis. The structure of the lamella inserta, hitherto neglected in this species, turned out to be partially diagnostic. New taxa: Carinigera buresi nordsiecki n. ssp., Carinigera buresi polimilitis n. ssp. 12 pp., 11 figs, gr. 8.…

Three new Albinaria species from Crete, Nomos Lasithiou (Gastropoda Pulmonata: Clausiliidae). Three new Albinaria species, viz. Albinaria wiesei spec. nov., Albinaria fulvula spec. nov. and Albinaria purpurea spec. nov., are described by E. Gittenberger, E.C. Flach and N. Reitsma, respectively. Thus the authorship is restricted to a single person for each taxon. The species have been discovered on eastern Crete while thoroughly revising the complex Albinaria fauna of that part of the island. 6 pp., 11 figs, gr. 8.…

An enigmatic, very small, hygromiid, petrophilous snail from La Gomera, Canary Islands, is described as new to science. Specimens with full-grown genitalia have not yet been found. Therefore, the generic affinities of the new taxon remain unclear. New taxon: Ripkeniella petrophila n. gen., n. sp. 6 pp., 6 figs, gr. 8.…

Granaria braunii marcusi subspec. nov. is described from E Spain. The distributional records of the two subspecies of G. braunii are summarized on a UTM distribution map. 5 pp., 4 figs, gr. 8.
