The prosobranch family Moitessieriidae is characterized by three anatomical characters; a conchological character that might be diagnostic is added with some doubt. Clameia brooki gen. et spec. nov. is described from Greece, which implies a considerable range extension for the family in a southeastern direction. 7 pp., 10 figs, gr. 8.

This article describes a remarkably rich fauna of freshwater prosobranchs endemic to the French Pyrenees, which comprises three new (sub)species, viz. Moitessieria nezi spec. nov., Palaospeum bessoni rebenacqensis subspec. nov. and (?)P. nanum spec. nov., and Alzoniella junqua Boeters, 2000. A new species of Hydrobiidae is described from subterraneous waters in Greece, Evvoia. It is provisionally classified with Mervicia Bole, 1967. Up till now this genus was considered monotypic and restricted to NW. Yugoslavia; the type species is unknown anatomically. 3 pp., 3 figs, gr. 8.

The Iberian valvatoid Hydrobiidae are listed and Neohoratia azarum n. sp. is described from NW. Spain. The eight previously known taxa are all from the eastern part of the peninsula. II. The five Iberian Belgrandiella species known from the literature [B. andalucensis, B. cantabrica, B. edmundi, B.elliptica, B. rolani] are listed. In addition B. galaica n. sp. and B. asturica n. sp. are described, from Galicia and Asturia, respectively. III. Palaospeum n. gen. is described from the French department Pyrenees-Atlantiques as the fifth genus of the Moitessieriidae, with 'Paladilhia' bessoni as its type species. A third, slightly differentiated population of Palaospeum bessoni is reported. 5 pp., 6 figs, gr. 8.

This article supplements the review of Moitessieriidae and Hydrobiidae of the Iberian Peninsula by Boeters (1988). It is based on samples collected by J. Notenboom and I. Meijers in subterranean waters in 1983, 1984 and 1986. This supplement deals with three genera and thirteen species of the Moitessieriidae and three genera and seven species of Hydrobiidae. Two genera, one subgenus, nineteen species and four subspecies are described as new. Finally, a differentiation between the Moitessieriidae and the Hydrobiidae is given.
